UDIT stands for Universal Design Institute for Information Technology.
What We Do
- Plan and develop homepages that are accessible to a wide range of users including persons with disabilities and the elderly. Achievements See Our Work: Accessible Web Sites by UDIT
- Support and offer consultation for the development of accessible and assistive products for persons with disabilities and the elderly.
- Advise new sales methods and marketing strategies to appeal to a market including persons with disabilities and the elderly.
- Support the information infrastructure of national and self-governing bodies as well as enterprises for strategically preparing for an aging society.
Who We Are
In Japan, with the arrival of the 21st century emerged a fast developing elderly population, and a high-speed information society. Yet there is no promise that this large population as well as individuals with disabilities will have access to the quickly advancing world of information. Alongside research to create a more accessible personal computer and Internet environment, there is a dire need to create assistive tools that will aid the elderly and persons with disabilities to access these new resources of information.
UDIT is the first company in Japan to support this urgent cause, which
is, making "Universal Design for Information" and “Assistive Technology"
become widespread in Japan.
We support and offer consultation with a view of accessibility for
websites and products of both corporations and government organizations.
We staffs work together with a lot of resistrated staffs who are persons
with disabilities, have various ages or environment,
Through planning products which are accessible to a wide range of users including persons with disabilities and the elderly, user reports, supporting and offering consultation for sales, participation in events and seminars, we aim to spread the words, ‘Universal Design', among the IT industrial world in Japan.
We strive to make coordinate among the users' needs, the most up-to-date technology of corporations, government organizations, and government administrative offices and policies.
